Betar US is proud to announce key leadership appointments that will enhance its
mission of empowering Jewish youth and strengthening Zionist activism across North America. These
strategic additions to the organization underscore Betar’s commitment to Jewish self-defense,
leadership development, and cultural resilience.
Lissa Kenkel Appointed National Chapter Director
Leading the charge in expanding Betar’s presence, Lissa Kenkel joins as the new National Chapter
Director. With a strong background in Jewish community organizing, intelligence consulting, and
advocacy, Kenkel is dedicated to growing Betar’s influence. She will spearhead the expansion of local
chapters, support grassroots leadership, and drive funding initiatives that ensure Betar’s sustainability.
“Betar has a proud legacy of Zionist activism and Jewish leadership,” said Kenkel. “I am honored to
grow its presence, empower its members, and ensure its continued success for generations to come.”
Yoni Kletzel Joins as Content Development Lead
To amplify Betar’s message, Yoni Kletzel steps in as the new Content Development Lead. A comedian
and entrepreneur with a strong social media following, Kletzel brings fresh creativity to the movement’s
outreach. With over 6,000 TikTok followers and 372,000 likes, his work celebrates Jewish identity and
culture, making him a powerful voice for engaging the next generation.
“Jewish strength is about more than just survival—it’s about thriving and owning our narrative,” said
Kletzel. “Betar is the perfect platform to ensure that young Jews remain proud, informed, and unafraid to
stand up for themselves.”
Jake Donnelly Named Director of Communications
Rounding out the new leadership team, Jake Donnelly takes on the role of Director of Communications.
An American-Israeli dual citizen and experienced sports broadcaster, Donnelly brings expertise in public
speaking, advocacy, and media engagement. His focus will be on combating antisemitism, educating
Jewish youth, and promoting Betar’s mission to a broader audience.
“I’m honored to join Betar US and help communicate its vital mission,” said Donnelly. “Promoting
traditional Jewish values and American principles is more important than ever, and I look forward to
expanding our reach and impact.”
